A Typical Day on the Water
Every charter is unique and tailored to the day's conditions, but here's what you can generally expect during your fishing trip with Spot Lock Charters.
Meet at Sunset Harbor Boat Ramp • 15 min
Arrive a few minutes before your scheduled departure and meet Captain Kramer at the boat ramp. Review the day's fishing plan, discuss current conditions, and go over all required safety equipment before leaving the dock.
Cruise to the Fishing Grounds • 15 min
We'll make a short ride to the day's best fishing locations based on tides, weather, water clarity, and recent fishing activity. Along the way, Captain Kramer will explain what species we're targeting and the techniques we'll be using.
Fish the Inshore & Nearshore Waters • Approximately 3 hrs
Spend the majority of your trip targeting seasonal species such as Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder (when legally harvestable), and Sheepshead around marshes, creeks, oyster beds, docks, and other productive structure.
Return to the Dock • 30 min
Head back to the boat ramp, and if you've kept legal fish, Captain Kramer can clean and bag them so they're ready to take home.
